Women in Europe for a Common Future is a network of organisations and individuals working for sustainable development, protection of human health and environment and poverty reduction. It's international network consists of members and partners in Western and Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia.
WECF has a working group on on water and Sanitation. It monitors the development and implementation of the EU Water Initiative and organises information and exchanges experiences on drinking water problems and solutions (eco-sanitation, rain harvesting and other low cost technical solutions affordable for communities). WECF has a working relationship with WASTE in a project in Bulgaria 2005 - 2007.
The Kompetenzzentrum Wasser Berlin (KWB - Berlin Centre of Competence for Water) is an international centre for water research and knowledge transfer. Capacities of the Berlin universities and research institutes, the Berlinwasser group of companies and Veolia Water (formerly Vivendi Water) are combined into the KWB
UNDP is launching a project to further develop the Ecosan concept and increase its application. The project is financed by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency, SIDA
BPD Water and Sanitation is an informal network of partners who seek to demonstrate that strategic partnerships involving business, government and civil society can achieve more at the local level to improve access to safe water and effective sanitation for the poor than any of the groups acting individually.
